Spicy Sichuan Restaurant (Ruixue)

Hi, guys. I’m Ruixue. This time I want to introduce a restaurant Spicy Sichuan Restaurant, which is famous for the spicy food in Sichuan province in China. The environment is very classics.

The decoration of the whole restaurant is mainly made according to the traditional Chinese Restaurant style.

Spicy food is very popular in Hunan, Sichuan, Shanxi and some other regions.

The spicy taste from the Sichuan province may be a little different from other kind of spicy food because Sichuan spicy is also pungent.

The food materials includes Chinese prickly ash, which is a very useful in reducing the negative impact from continuing wet weather.

Now the pungent and spicy taste is famous and considered as the traditional taste in Sichuan food. If you like spicy food, just try it.

You will not forget the amazing smell and excellent experiment.

The extent of spicy taste can be changed if you guys are just considering trying a mildly spicy food. The chafing dish will really attract you!

Golden Century Seafood Restaurant (Ruixue)

Hi, everyone, this is Ruixue. Now I will introduce one great restaurant in Chinatown in Sydney as well. Its name is Golden Century Seafood Restaurant. This restaurant is very famous for its seafood, especially the King Crab. This restaurant serves a Cantonese cuisine. For example, Ginger Crab, Fried Crab Roe Pasta and Spicy Salt Crab. These are the special invented ways of eating King Crabs because of the big size of King Crab, the ways of eating should also be influenced in some extent.

Different with the normal Cantonese restaurants, the dishes are not served followed by the traditional ways of cooking but focusing on its own special. That kind of serving method makes the dishes can only be tasted in Golden Century Seafood Restaurant.

Another reason why this restaurant can be top is because that the dishes is really cooked well by chef with provision of fresh food material.

That is what other restaurants cannot copy from.

It is one of the top 10 Chinese restaurants in Sydney, shouldn’t disappoints us guys.

West Ryde Hotel (Sam)

Hey everyone how is it going? Today i am going to introduce you a place to have steak ! As my birthday is coming soon, a church mate brought me to this place and bought me a big meal ! This place is called West Ryde Hotel. You can order different kinds of steak there, they will give you a totally rare steak; then you have to take it to a grill which is provided there. And cook your steak by yourself ! You can add different types of seasoning to your steak as well !
This is the outside look of the hotel. When you go inside you will need to line up and order your drink and steak ! My friend bought me a steak with fries, then he cook both steaks. I was watching him flipping the steaks around.... and it finally looked so good ! It tasted so good with the gravy on the top ! We were having a great time there, we had our steak slowly and talked about everything, the environment was clam and relaxing as we were sitting outside. It was the greatest birthday gift I had in Australia !

AL ASEEL in Greenacre (Ruixue)

Hi, everyone, I’m Ruixue. Now I just want to introduce one of my favorite restaurant in Sydney. Its name is AL ASEEL. It is an Arabic restaurant, famous for kabob and other kinds of traditional Arabic food.

The AL ASEEL I went to is the Greenacre one. There are two levels in the restaurants. The whole environment is great and I am happy to chat with my friend with having the prepared salad on the table.

What I chose is the lamb mix plate ($26), including 3 skewers of lamb served with tabouli, baba ghanouj, hommos, garlic dip & falafel. Believe me, it is enough for a hungry person to have for dinner. There are three kinds of prepared sauces in the small places when provided. One of my favorite sauces is hommos. It is better for you gys to have more oil with it, rather than it may be little bit sour.

Here is the detailed information for the restaurant  :)

183 WATERLOO RD GREENACRE 029758 6744.

It is great expeience having food here. The restaurant is usually open at10:00 a.m. and close at 22:00 p.m.

Masuya Japanese Restaurant - Sydney (Andrew)

Hi, I would like to introduce a Japanese restaurant called Masuya this time. It is located at 12 - 14 O'Connell Street, Sydney. I have always been a fan of Japanese food and Masuya is just one of the many Japanese restaurants that I have tried before. I remember that day I visited Masuya was a freezing cold day. My girlfriend suggested that we should try the Japanese hotpot at Masuya. It was proven to be quite a good suggestion after we tried.

We have ordered three things that day, Sapporo hot pot, sashimi boat and some freshly served natural oysters. The sashimi boat and oysters were nice but the main surprise of that meal was the Sapporo hot pot. It included blue swimmer crab, scallops, salmon and some other seafood, all served with soy milk & sweet miso paste soup. The soup was tasting so good after all of the seafood mixed together in one hot pot. It was an unique taste that I could not forget. I am guessing there might be some special ingredient added into the soup base which matched perfectly with all the seafood.

At the end, my girlfriend and I almost finished all of the soup in the hot pot and it was a nice meal during winter.

Devon Cafe - Surry Hills (Andrew)

Hi, this time I want to share a cafe called Devon Cafe. It is located at 76 Devonshire Street, Surry Hills. It takes just about 5 minute to walk there from Central Station. It has recently won the Sydney Morning Herald's Good Cafe Guide's "Food Cafe of the year" award for 2014. I have heard a couple of friends mentioned before that the cafe is pretty good. When I finally got a chance to visit, it did not disappoint me.

I have tried two dishes that day, a lamb sandwich and grilled king salmon. The prices of the food were not cheap I would say, as I remember each of the order was around $20 - $25. Fortunately, the taste of the food totally worth the price and I still remember the taste of the well seasoned salmon with the perfectly poached egg. I am looking forward to try some other food of Devon Cafe when I visit next time.

Besides, the coffee of Devon Cafe is pretty good as a choice of drink.

Jasmin Restaurant Lakemba (Shawkiya)

Jasmin Restaurant - Haldon St Lakemba

Hi guys..... Back again with one of my favourite restaurant in Sydney. It has around 3/4 branches around Sydney , specially punchbowl and Lakemba.

Me n my Partner love this authentic Lebanese food. After finishing work on our way back home we went to Lakemba and all the many restaurant that are on Haldon street we chose Jasmin Restaurant.
We had a mixed plate and shish kebab plate. The price is reasonable and the food is delicious.

Customers can choose dine-in or take-away. I prefer dine-in so you can sit in a relaxing atmosphere and they serve the food in a innovative way with special garlic sauce and salad (Arab Style).
They have kebab rolls as well which we can call sandwiches in wraps.

To me it has a great service and great pricing.

Dips and entrees, including numerous variations of foule, imsabaha, fateh, labneh, fatoosh, hommous and baba ghannouj will set you back ONLY $7 - and that $7 includes endless bread and platers of pickled veggies.
I've tried nearly all of the vegetarian versions of all of the above and I'm yet to be anything more than overwhelmed at the consistent quality, freshness and flavour explosion!

They also have a huge variety of kebabs and sharwarma platters that run between $10 and $12 - a HUGE WIN considering the closest kebab shop to me sells mediocre kebab plates for nearly $20

Jonah's - Palm Beach (Andrew)

Hi, this is Andrew. I want to share a restaurant called Jonahs that I went with my girlfriend not long ago. It is located on Sydney's Northern Beaches which is around 50 minutes drive from city. I think it is a good place to visit as a day trip for once at least. It has a stunning ocean view at the very first moment I walked in the restaurant. The atmosphere inside was relax and causal also the service was outstanding. However, it might be a bit difficult to reach the restaurant by taking public transport so I recommend to drive there instead.

I ordered an oyster plate to start off which also came with two glasses of champagne, my girlfriend and I decided to sit at the outdoor area of the restaurant first and took some pictures. Once again, the breathtaking ocean view impressed me deeply.

A while later, we moved back inside the restaurant to continue with the main dishes. The dishes were beautifully served and tasted delicious. I could not think of any bad memories through the whole experience. It was one of the best day in my life.
